Club Welfare
Hi, my name is Lynsey Beebee & I have recently been appointed the Welfare officer for WoodingdeanWanderers football club.
I have worked with children in various settings over the last 25 years, I have knowledge & experience of safeguarding & child protection.
I have been involved with Woodingdean Football club since my eldest son (Thai) played for the under 7’s, he is now 20.
My youngest son Lewis plays for the under 15’s Claret team.
My husband Andy coaches this team with the help of Thai, Andy is also the current Chairman of the club, It’s a very exciting time to be part of this club, which is developing & growing at a fast pace.
There are so many dedicated, hard working volunteers doing so much behind the scenes. To ensure safe & fun football for our children. We have a strong community ethos within our club & I would encourage you all to become Involved.
With the start of the season almost upon us this is an appropriate time to remind ourselves that as members of the club we are all role models for the young people & it is up to us all to promote a positive & encouraging environment to enable each child to be happy, secure & confident.
Every parent & child has, as part of the signing on process signed the club ‘code of conduct’, please read through these every so often & refresh yourselves on the content.
It is so easy for us all to allow our passion & eagerness for the children to do well to sometimes stray beyond these guidelines.
Copies of our ‘codes of conduct’ can be found in the club house.
It is a sign of the times that more & more people choose technology & social media as their preferred form of communication.
Please see rbelow for the latest information from the FA regarding the use of social media by children, parents / carers & coaches & how to keep it positive.
As a club we will ensure Woodingdean Wanderers lead the way & sets the example.
If anyone has any concerns or needs to speak to someone please contact me using the following email address.
Many thanks, Lynsey Beebee
